Lack of Transparency

The Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (OGCMA) told the NY Post, that, “the CMA did not receive complaints about the design during the public comment period, and noted that the plan has been available online for three years.” [emphasis added]

  1. The OGCMA claims that, “the plan has been available online for three years.” The photo below of the engineering drawing that the OGCMA filed with the NJDEP and is part of their approved permit, shows that the plan is clearly dated “September 3, 2021.” The Plan is just over a year old, so how has it been available online for three years?

  2. When was the “public comment period” and what did the OGCMA do to notify residents of that period? The answer is nothing other than the required public notice last March 2022 in The Coaster newspaper legal notices section. The OGCMA has done nothing to inform Neptune Township residents.
