Letter to the Editor of the Coaster Published June 22, 2023

Lloyd Pulley will be visiting Ocean Grove this month, providing entertainment to thousands of visitors. Pulley, who has authored several books, has a popular radio program that reaches approximately 7 million people in the tri-state area. In recognition of Pulley’s scheduled visit, below are just a few quotes from his monthly publications:

(1) “How far have we have drifted from God as a nation since September 11, 2001?...Perhaps God is warning us again, turning up the heat to lead us to repentance. Perhaps His kindness in withholding absolute judgment will lead us to repent. In the past God allowed locusts to invade, getting His people’s attention so that judgment would be averted. Instead of locusts, we have seen an invasion of the coronavirus, political tension, racial issues, LGBTQ+ identity confusion and indoctrination, and unprecedented natural disasters. These painful times are forerunners to the final trumpet, calling all everywhere to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins."

(2) On the topic of COVID-19, Pulley asks, “Has a curse come upon America? It would appear that God may be behind this judgment, and at least, He is definitely allowing it! Look at all that has happened from 9/11 to the unprecedented ‘natural’ disasters now devastating us. This unending ‘pandemic’ has become a useful mechanism to bring ‘subjects’ to their knees.”

(3) “How far we have changed in just seven years since same-sex marriage was legalized! Though not covered in the media, even many old-school ‘LGB’ folks are shocked at how far the ‘TQ+’ has derailed our culture with gender confusion. Vast experimentation of the sexual indoctrination of children has swept public schools, and parents' views are being suppressed. Some parents have expressed their convictions in school board meetings but have been labeled domestic terrorists for speaking up. Unless this present administration repents of its anti-Christian stance or is replaced with those without a global elite agenda, we will face darker times ahead.”

Lloyd Pulley is one of the headlining speakers at Bridgefest, a two day “festival” hosted by the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (June 23rd and 24th). I do not believe that Pulley’s views reflect the diverse community that is Ocean Grove. Do you?
