NJDEP FINDS OGCMA HAS NO RIGHT TO RESTRICT PUBLIC ACCESS TO BEACH- FULL ORDER

BREAKING NEWS: In a 14 page order dated May 21, 2024, the Commissioner of the NJDEP denies the OGCMA's request for an emergency stay, noting, that the "OGCMA has no right to unreasonably restrict public access to the Ocean Grove Beachfront."

The order goes on to state that the OGCMA, "despite ample opportunity to present information for the record, has not shown how reasonable public access on Summer Sundays has adversely impacted or would adversly impact or limit opportunities for quiet reflection or prayer.”
